I know this is a bit dated, I thought I'd share this from my MySpace Blog:

I like to think that I'm very specific about what source I receive news from on TV. Right after the 9/11 attacks, I couldn't stomach CNN with its pro-Bush rhetoric. So, I decided to keep my TV on either Cartoon Network or the Weather Channel. When the public couldn't buy anymore of Bush's bull, the network eased up, and Fox News began where CNN backed off. Now, with Don Imus chilling on the same "Good Ole Boy" networks as O'Reilly and that pill-popping bigot Limbaugh, I've AGAIN limited to my television news sources.

Take time out of your usual channel surfing and watch just 5 minutes of the Fox News network. If they're not still bashing (Bill) Clinton for his policies during his administration (???WTF??? Let it go!!!!!!!!), they're doing a reinactment of the Spanish Inquisition on O'Bama. They barely run a comb through (Hilary) Clinton's head before each commentator performs what resembles an crocodile death grip over the latest Jeramiah Wright speech or sermon...UGH!!!! Don't let me forget the network's continual praise for the almighty "Dubbya". I could vomit....Nowadays when I enter a Firehouse Subs restaurant here in Mobile, I gauge how hungry I am for a veggie on wheat sub based on whether or not I can hear the Fox News network spewing its racist venom over the seating area.

But I digress...

I have managed to stand back to see just how far the media may take these not so subtle hints of racism in the coming months leading to the November 4th election. ABC, NBC, CNN...they are all co-signing on this media circus implicating that America can be brainwashed to think that division is the key. Even PBS is relishing the fact that their statisticians can spit out a pie chart or graph telling how brown, black, white people and parts in between DID vote, DIDN'T vote, WILL vote and WON'T vote. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but was anyone even REMOTELY interested in how the different races in the country would vote when Jesse Jackson was running for the Democratic ticket? No?...Huh....Even Dukakis was entertained until the general election, when the media succeeded in discredit him as a viable political figure. Am I looking at this thing wrong here? Is this not a Jedi mind trick in the making????

Better watch out folks, step away from the TV...The Media is bad for your health.

I feel so empowered and proud of the African-American community and our nation for realizing that race/ethnicity/background doesn't matter. Obama has a strong platform that I anticipate will gain strength when he chooses his VP and additional advisor. He remains a gentleman focused on policy and issue rather than personal attacks. He is the very 1st presidential candidate to openly admit mistakes and move beyond them for the betterment of the country. He has shown that he has what it takes to start the shift of government back into the hands of the people.

Let's all put our full support behind him and encourage and persuade others to do the same.

I think that he will make a GREAT President!!! Let the media tell it, the past weeks events hurt our candidate, but it made we actually think that some of his thoughts were actually true.
